Online Resources for a Computer Science


Computer science being the ever dynamic field it is comes with the quite herculean task of having to keep yourself apprised with the latest in the field. If you are an undergraduate in the University studying Computer science and you feel what you get in your lecture halls in school is not just enough, then this article is for you. It contains a list of websites that contain enough information to keep you up to speed in the field and also aid you as you walk through your school curriculum.


  •  Coursera: Coursera is an education platform that partners with top universities and organizations worldwide, to offer courses online for anyone to take, for free. 
  •  MIT OpenCourseWare: MIT OpenCourseWare is a web-based publication of virtually all MIT course content. OCW is open and available to the world and is a permanent MIT activity.
  • Webcast.berkeley: Webcast.berkeley is the campus program for recording and publishing course and campus events for students and learners around the globe. Audio and video recordings of class lectures and special events are processed and made available to viewers, typically through UC Berkeley's YouTube and iTunes U distribution channels.
  • Udacity: Focuses more on vocational courses for professionals. Has courses on JavaScript Basics, Programming Foundations with Python, Intro to Data Science, Intro to Artificial Intelligence, Intro to Inferential Statistics, Machine Learning, Computer Networking, Applied Cryptography, and so many others
